Soft ground etching, c. 1890, with the stamped signature, on wove paper. The joyful dancers are actually Renoir's brother Edmond and his wife Suzanne Valadon. This piece is pulled from the first and only state of this work. A signature stamp by Renoir appears in the lower right margin. The signature stamp by the artist is lower right hand corner. Beautiful in period French mirror frame.
