Medium: Lithograph
Size: 21" x 17" Framed
Henri Toulouse Lautrec is known for his lithographic prints and posters depicting unglamorized real life. These were to become influential in the history of twentieth century art. His style is painstakingly depicted in The Chestnut Vendor capturing a Paris street scene with a woman, a chestnut vendor, a man and child and the immensely popular French bulldog. The print is c. 1897. His loose style of drawing is recognizable, leaving a definite imprint of Parisian street life for the ordinary people for the viewer to see.
