Manon Sander is an impressionistic oil painter of light and the shifting shimmering spectrum of colors she finds in her beautiful landscapes. In Fresh Paint, the boat is docked on the boat slip after being given a fresh coat of turquoise paint which shimmers in the sunlight as it dries. The lavender sky above provides a beautiful backdrop for the mast to disappear into. Sander’s painterly rendering of the landscape is as important as the boat in this wonderful piece.

Biography:

Born in a Bavarian village and later moving to metropolitan Berlin, Sanders was always drawing and painting. She continued this passion into her adult life. During a decade and a half of painting murals professionally in Chicago and studying oil painting under the tutelage of well known Californian painters in San Francisco and southern California, she developed her own distinct style so favored by her collectors.In 2010 she moved to sunny, buggy and wonderful Florida where she found a never ending stream of inspiration. Having always been drawn to water and feeling a strong connection to the ocean she was inspired by many things. She paints from a fascination with the effect of light on objects. Painting in oil she puts impressions down in thick juicy brush strokes, aiming to capture the essence and the light on subject matter and the feelings they evoke. Sanders is represented by a number of galleries throughout Florida, a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters’ Society and a member of the American Impressionist Society.
