Title: Rio Mar
Medium: Oil on Masonite
Dimensions: 35” x 29” Framed
Norman Wright paints in typical Highwaymen style with the Royal Palm trees and Floridian waters being focal points of the painting. They ebb, flow and sway creating the illusion of movement. The light in the sky and on the water adds atmosphere to this scenic landscape.
Norman Wright is listed as a second generation Highwayman, a movement established in 1973 with Roy McLendon Jnr. Wright has historically painted since 1974 and over decades built his own legacy. He was also a former brother-in-law to Al Black. Wright is one of the Highwaymen who can still be found roadside painting; King's Highway south of Orange Avenue and US Highway One south of Orange Avenue. He was a Board Member of the Highwaymen charity in 2009.
